Import>Item>Selling Price

Hi Everyone

I tried to import the selling price for 2000+ item codes. It does tell me the item codes were updated without errors but when I look at the items, the items still do not have the selling price.

Hi tfaccounts , I suggest you break up the import file and import files of 500 lines or less. I tried with 1000 rows  last month, and had the same result. I tested up to 500, which worked. Larger files might work but I haven't tested them.

If you are importing prices for quanitty break 1, then you need to inlcude that field, with a 0 in it.

    Hi Mike_James

I tried to reduce to 494 lines and it still did not work.

Does MYOB need to run a script?

Hi tfaccounts , that would normally only be necessary if there was a particular error message. I think you said there were no errors.

Can you post a small sample of the lines from your import file?

    Hi tfaccounts

    Thanks for posting.

I understand that importing information to the file is the best way to update item codes.

Generally, if the import process does not affect the prices but has no error importing, we need to check the import file to see what causes it not to read the information. As Mike_James has suggested, you can send a line of the import file here for us to check.

Also, I would suggest making an export file to compare it with your import file.

We look forward to your response.

    Cheers,

    Hi tfaccounts

I suggest you get MYOB to run as duplicate price matrix script (not error 4077 which might be script Mike_James  is referring to).

When you have duplicate price matrix entries, MYOB has 2 entries for the same item/price level and quantity. So it might well update one of them, however it will display the other one. I have seen this lots of time when prices do not seem to update, yet no error is reported.

    Regards

    Gavin

    Hi gavin12345,

Thanks for the insight. I have run diagnostic scripts for both of his online files, and none of them seem to have issues with the price matrix. Assuming the files they are referring to are online files.

Let us know if you still require any help tfaccounts. Any additional information would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
