Employee Bank account field incorrectly limited to 7 digits - can't enter full account number.

I am on one particular employee card and I am trying to update their bank account number.

The bank account number I need to enter has 8 digits.

I have tried various ways to clear and type/paste the "Bank Account Number" field - but regardless the way I try, the field is being limited to 7 digits only. 

(This is not a num lock issue as I can type digits, just not enough!)

As I understand, and confirmed on other existing employee cards, the bank account field does allow 10 digits?

Why is it blocking me?!
