Hi eg2,
That error can be a sneaky one, even when the employee’s stapled fund details all look correct. A good next step is to check whether that fund needs a validated Employer Number in MYOB’s super fund list. Here’s a cozy way to work through it:
- Open the Superannuation Fund details in MYOB and note down the SPIN
- Look up that SPIN in the MYOB Super Funds List here: MYOB Super Funds List
- Check the Employer Membership Number Required column
- If it says No, try leaving the Employer Number field blank
- If it says Yes, you’ll need to contact the super fund to get the correct Employer Number
- Once you’ve got that number, enter it into the Superannuation Fund details in MYOB
If you’ve already updated it and the error is still hanging around, try these checks too:
- Make sure the employee showing the error is linked to the same fund you updated
- Clear the cache on the PC, and the host PC too if you’re using a network library
If it’s still not behaving after that, it’d be best to reach out to our support team via the Contact Us page so they can take a closer look behind the scenes.
Cheers,
Doreen
