SMSF Employee Membership Number

SMSF don't have membership numbers, but MYOB requires one. What should I use here? Does it matter what I enter?

    Hello,

I am trying to setup a self managed super fund into MYOB for an employee and unfortunately "type" no longer exists in MYOB.  Can you please help me?

Thank you for responding Amanda, however your response is simply a copy and paste of information widely available online and does not answer my question.

I have already set up the super fund. Nowhere in that process does it require a member number.

it is when applying the super fund to an employee, within the employee card, that a member number is required to be entered.
this is where I am uncertain what to enter. SMSFs only have one member, so I’m assuming I can enter 1? But I can find no information about this online.

When you're setting up a new super fund in your MYOB file, you'll want to select Lists > Superannuation Funds > New.  In the window there's a field named Type with a dropdown menu, select Self-managed from the available options and you should see the relevant fields for an SMSF. Let me know if you have any further questions!
