Unable to connect to MYOB's Online Confirmation Service

I'm using a v19.16 file and am getting the error when trying to confirm the file online.

The online confirmation code generator is also giving a 503 Server Temporarily Unavailable error.

    Same here using v19

It was fine on 31st but as of yesterday I'm getting the unable to connect error.

Online confirmation page is showing 503 error.

Even tried to use the confirmation on my.myob, but unable to connect.

I'm guessing it's MYOB server problem.. hope they fix it soon

    Hi Hannah,

The confirmation service is actually not working. The URL https://confirmation.myob.com produces a 503 error immediately. You don't even get to a point where you can give a serial number.

Hi, vhtp. Thanks for your response.

We received an information that there is an error in confirming the company file. To resolved this concern, kindly install the latest MYOB AccountRight software then upgrade the file offline which will take a while. Then, confirm online. Please let us know how this works on your end. Thank you for your patience. You may check this  Help Article for more information about the upgrade: Upgrade to the new AccountRight

    Hi Hannah_V

I am having the same problem as vhtp . Are you now saying that we cannot confirm our MYOB files unless we upgrade and start paying a monthly subscription? I'm not sure that's actually legal. It certainly smacks of unconscionable behaviour on the part of MYOB.

Much appreciated if you could confirm my file ASAP without forcing me to subscribe to a "service" that is anything remotely like the definition of the word service.

    Cheers,

    Catherine

Hi, CatherineCE. Thanks for your post.

There will be no charges for this upgrade since you will upgrade the offline file and there are no subscriptions needed. You just need to get the latest version to update your software.

    Dear Hannah_V

I'm not sure how to explain this any more clearly and presume you're being wilfully obtuse, but I have no desire to get the latest version of MYOB. Version 19 suits my business practices and purposes just fine.

All I need is for MYOB to stop using standover tactics to pressure me into doing something that is unnecessary and will ultimately force me to pay for a service that I actually paid for in full years ago.

I'm a BAS agent. I use MYOB in my clients' businesses and my own. I know what I'm talking about when it comes to MYOB and I have zero desire to "upgrade" to a version that gives MYOB more control over me and my business, including the possibility of forcing me to pay for your ever-deteriorating "service" at some stage in the future.

    Regards,

    Catherine
