When you downgrade does the current accounts, history flow to downgraded file

WE ARE LOOKING TO MOVE FROM ACCOUNTRIGHT PREMIER AS WE HAVE A FEW COMPANIES AND NOW AT $170 PM FOR EACH FILE IN THE CLOUD , THIS IS COSTLY.

JUST WANT TO KNOW, DOES THE HISTORY AND INFORMATION ALREADY HELD IN ACCOUNTRIGHT PREMIER FLOW DOWN TO WHATEVER PACKAGE WE MIGHT CHOOSE.

WE ONLY HAVE 2 COMPANIES THAT HAVE PAYROLL USAGE.

THANKS FOR THOUGHTS.

REGARDS

GILL

    Hi Tasqua

    Thanks your post.

If you wish to change your current subscription, all the history and information that were held in AccountRight will be available. However, there are features that you might notice is different from your current subscription to the product that you will be switching to. Features in each subscription varies.

    Hi Doreen

Regarding the 7 files we have in the cloud.  At this stage, 3 Files will need to be downgraded to MYOB Business Lite and 1 to MYOB Business Pro.

    How does this get implemented?

Also we have 4 Network (server) based files that are AccountRight Premier.  Can these be downgraded to MYOB Business Lite and MYOB Business Pro as a desktop server version?

    Thanks for this.

    Regards

    Gill

    Hi Doreen

I have sent another message through.

We want to move 4 files from AccountRight Premier to AccountRight Plus (we do not use the foreign currencies), but quite honestly its a mind field to sort through.

The form that they say to fill in doesnt show wanting to move MYOB Program file from .....to MYOBProgram.....

I presume this can be done as these files are in the cloud so there should be no disruption for working on????

I need this sorted before they charge the $170 per month for each file.

It would be great if you could actually speak with someone about this in Australia.

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards

    Gill

    Hi Tasqua

I agree, the forms and website are difficult to navigate and find what you need.

FYI if you have 4 files on Premier (each subscription allows for 2 files) you will need 2 Premier subscriptions.

If you change then to Plus, you will need 4 Plus subscriptions. While dearer, the Premier subscription is better value than 2 Plus subscriptions.

If changing to Plus works better for you and MYOB 'hesitates' to change the files from Premier to Plus, get back to me. It can be done, despite what they may tell you.

    Regards

    Hi Gavin

I am so frustrated at present with MYOB.

We transferred 3 files off the cloud back to our server. (Account Right Premier)

The other 5 cloud files were downgraded to Account Right Plus.

BUT now I have been charged in June for 8 cloud files - they said a refund will take 5-10 business days for the 3 files that are not there.

They said an email saying cancelling MYOB subscription....... all that they mentioned was that there were three files with no allocation and they would cancel them.  Emails detailing any type of cancelling should list details of files, account number and even serial number that they belong to.

Then to find out they are telling me that 1 of our server files is locked and needs to be confirmed with 13 days.  In the old system, you could confirm prior to the exipiration of total days.

They sent me a file, went to upload and system said file cannot be confirmed as Account Right Plus has not been registered to serial number.   At no stage did anyone in MYOB say anything about serial numbers when downgrading let alone that it seems like my server files now become AccountRight PLus.

Sorry about the rant, but I need clarification from someone.

    Thanks Gill

    Hi Gavin

I've just read your post from earlier this year regarding the cost of changing files from Premier to Plus. We previously had 3 Premier files and 3 standard files. When the price increases came through in May/June, we chose to leave the 3 standard files as standard and move the 3 premier files to plus files. This has meant we are paying $642 per month. However, if what you are saying is correct and that a premier subscription at $170 per month includes 2 MYOB files, we would be better off having 3 premier subscriptions (even though we don't need that level as we don't use multicurrency), as it would equate to $510 per month. Is my understanding correct? Also, we've had several issues confirming our "plus" files (our most recent reason after the wages wouldn't go through). The product in About MYOB Accountright is still listed as Premier even though we are paying for Plus. When the file wouldn't confirm and our wages wouldn't go through, I spent 4 hours on live chat with 3 different MYOB staff members, who either referred me to the phone line which wasn't working, or just booted me off the live chat when they couldn't help me. In an effort to help, one of these people told me to turn on multi currency to get the file confirm, but I've since learned this can't be turned off without restoring a back up. MYOB has put their prices up and now has the worst customer service. I even sent a follow up support request a week ago and have heard nothing further. After not hearing anything and needing to get our wages paid, we decided to delete the wages that wouldn't go through and re-entered them and they worked. And the file just miracoulously confirmed online last Friday without a word from MYOB. I'd like to remove the multiple currency option but don't have the time to find a back up via our IT company (I can't believe you can tick a box so easily without warning of it's ramifications) and then ensure every transaction is re-entered for the past week. Sorry for the rant, but I'd really appreciate your opinion on this situation.

    Thanks. Petra

    Hi Baxters

A Premier subscription (which allows for 2 online files) is better value than 2 Plus subscriptions. However you need to understand that changing a subscription from Premier to Plus, does not automatically change the files from Premier files to Plus files. If you have a Premier file, MYOB may insist that you keep a Premier subscription. A Premier file can be changed to a Plus file, however not by the user, MYOB would need to do that for you or you would need help from a MYOB specialist. A user can change a Plus file to a Premier file using Help > Change Product.

If you have a Premier subscription, your files can remain as Plus files, you do not need to change the files to Premier.

    Regards

    Gavin
