Super Choice Payments

I am having difficulty with my super payments. My dashboard shows -$30,000 in super owning and when I look into the expense and payable accounts I can see double ups. Any suggestions on what is going wrong here?

    Hi SBCollis,

Appreciate you providing the screenshot. We are aware that some users are experiencing an issue where the incorrect superannuation amount is showing on the dashboard. I have marked your file as affected, and we will keep you informed once we have a permanent fix for this issue

    Regards,
    Earl

I’ve noticed that the account set from is different to where the actual money came from. assuming this is an issue? How do I rectify?

    Hi SBCollis,

It's likely that the discrepancy you're seeing on the super payment dashboard is due to a known issue that we're currently working on fixing. Rest assured that we’ve marked your file as affected. In the meantime, you might want to check out our article on setting up superannuation funds to ensure that you've listed the correct accounts. This could help rectify any immediate inconsistencies.

    Regards,

    Shella

    Hi Shella_A

I understand there is an issue with the dashboard, but I have TWO issues going on as posted above.

When I have entered a super payment, it has come out of the wrong account.

It should have come from GST account, however the MYOB transaction came from the TRANSACTION account.

The payment was debited from SuperChoice out of my GST account, however the transaction cannot be matched due to the MYOB transaction coming from my TRANSACTION account.

How do I fix this issue? I didn't even realise it was happening for a number of Super Payments and have fixed it since, but need to fix the old entries and cannot reverse them anymore.

    Thank you

    Hi SBCollis,

Thanks for the detailed rundown— that helps paint the picture. What happened here is the super payments were processed using the wrong account— it was set to Transaction Account instead of GST Account. Here's a workaround on how it can be fixed:

    • Pop in a journal entry to shift the amount from the Transaction Account to the GST Account.
    • That'll straighten things out and let you match bank feed.

If you're still having issue with super payments that came out from the wrong account, make sure to reach out to our team on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, or by submitting a support case via MyAccount.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

Doreen_P thank you! There’s about 30 of them! So do I need to do 30 individual journal entries?

    Hey SBCollis,

Before diving into your journal entries, it’s a brilliant idea to have a quick chinwag with your accountant. They’re the experts who can give you the best advice on whether you should create individual entries or if you can manage it in one go.

    Cheers,

    Doreen
