how to pay Super if inactive employee is unresponsive

Question

We had a casual working only two days for us during the last quarter and I made payment to the fund provided. This contribution came back with "member account closed".&nbsp; I have tried to contact the former employee but have had no response and I am not sure if she has left the country. I tried the ATO stapled inquiry but there is no other fund available that way. How do I deal with this amount?&nbsp; It is small but I want to follow my legal obligations.

In this situation, I would recommend reaching out to the ATO or your financial advisor to see how you'll handle that payment moving forward.&nbsp;
