were you able to reslove your issue? im am currenlty experiancing the same, i have been locked out of my company files, and all attempts to fix this have failed to date.
i too am not prepared to upgrade my file and lose my perpetual license.

I resolved the problem by forking out $12 to a third party (you can find the name on this forum but I'll also find it for you) rather than waiting for MYOB to pretend that they'd fixed the problem that they'd clearly made and let us all back in. That was after a lot of people again threatened to sue them.
If you read through all the comments and posts back at the beginning of the year you'll get the picture.
Good luck! MYOB has us over a barrel. Yay for rampant capitalism and foreign ownership!
