That's a bit of a pain, especially when you're just trying to get your accountant's replacement sorted before they head off on leave. From what you've described (and the screenshots showing that "error occurred while creating the user"), there might be something in the setup or system causing the invite to fail. Just a couple of things worth double-checking:
- Make sure you've got Administrator access when inviting the new user. Without that, the invite won't go through properly
- Check that the email you're inviting hasn't already been used with another MYOB login (even partially set up accounts can cause this)
- Try entering the name/email manually instead of autofill (that can sometimes trip it up)
- If you can, give it a go in a different browser or incognito mode to rule out any caching gremlins
