Is a Subscription needed?

I get that you are trying to save with the STP feature you don't use. If you are paying $141 per month, I can only assume you are using AccountRight Plus. Generally, MYOB subscriptions cover cloud storage, bank feeds, STP, and Superannuation. If you use none of those features you can get by without a subscription. Another option is to downsize your subscription to Business Lite or Business Pro, however, this will remove the ability to use the file from the desktop app. You can check product differences using this link.

Hi Genrive - I note that in the query you say that in this case the user can get by without a subscription. Can you advise if there is an option to continue using the Account Right Plus data file offline - just on my desktop as a stand alone file accepting that there is no upgrades or online usage without subscription.

Yes, it is possible to continue using the AccountRight Plus data file offline. Remember, even after cancelling, you'll still have access to your data and reports. I am seeking clarification.

Do you mean READ and WRITE,EDIT access to the off-line file?

I understand On-Line functions won't work, but can we still use the Desktop version with a local data file and produce new invoices, create transactions etc?

What limitations are there when it using this way and how long will MYOB likely support this?

Hi there,

 I have had a subscribtion for account right plus. I cancelled it about 18mth or so ago, and used the software offline. when I cancelled the subscription i was told i can use it offline. i don't have salary|wages to report. It worked until May. I had to upgrade the file and can't excess it anymore. There is always the pop up error message "something went wrong" restart the software. I have cleared the cach for MYOB. Can anyone advise, how i can open the files again? I have 3 files and only one is working. First one went corrupt and today the second file can't be open. Please advise?

Sorry to be a bother, but Im pretty certain all my posts are being deleted immediately after i post them.

Can I ask... Why did you have to upgrade the company file?

If you were forced to upgrade, then that suggests that MYOB does not continue to be usable after stopping the subscription, even though it is supposed to work.

That’s a tough one, a corrupted file and only one that opens is definitely not a great experience. We're keen to get this sorted for you. Nice work getting the cache cleared, by the way. You can still use your file offline, and even after you upgrade you’ll still have access to it. We have an AccountRight hotfix tool that usually fixes the “Something went wrong” error, explained in this forum post. If it’s still not working, you can jump on live chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, and we’ll help get you back into your files.

Thanks, Princess, for getting back to me.

I have found the diagnostic and have the "Fingerprint" issue. I've downloaded the ZIP file, extracted it and clicked the company file.

Then I get a message from Microsoft.NET Framework with a big X in red circle

"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. I can click Continue or Quit. nothing happens, no matter what I click
