Manually entered transaction not appearing

I manually enter transactions to an investment account, then reconcile (no bank fees for this one). This time, one entry simply will not appear to reconcile. It is sitting there in 'Find Transactions': I have tried duplicating a similar deposit then just changing the amount & date, and it still will not appear to reconcile. It is posted to the correct account etc. I have tried deleting, re-inputing, starting up MYOB again...yet the transaction will not appear (yet is clearly seen in debits/credits, transactions etc in 'Find Transactions'. All other transactions have been posted and appear for reconciliation.

    Finally received a response from MYOB: absolutely useless! Repeated the same info above. I have managed to be able to reconcile the account on the desktop version of the file with NO DIFFICULTY-all transactions appeared on the reconcilation screen. This reconciliation has transferred to the browser version without a problem. I strongly suggest YOU have an issue here MYOB: Desktop has far more functionality and less 'bugs' than your browser. Suggest you replicate the functionality of the Desktop TO the browser, prior to disabling the desktop version.

    Thanks Genreve. Weird: after reconciling to 1/1/99, then undoing, both transactions appeared. As soon as I put in 31/1/26 as the reconciliation date, they disappeared again, and despite repeating the above steps, no longer appear...but still appear on 'Find Transactions'. I suspect some odd computer glitch. I'll create a ticket now.

    Hi Veena

     

    Thanks for the screenshots and explanation, that helps a lot. Transactions that appear in the find transactions window but not in the reconcile accounts window are certainly odd. 

    I can see the $202.91 debit (8/1) and $73.09 credit (6/1) sitting in Find transactions for January, but they’re not showing in Reconcile accounts, even though the statement date is 31/1 and the last reconciled date is 31/12. When that happens, it’s usually a hidden future-dated reconciliation stopping those entries from appearing.

    To reset that list:

    1. Go to Banking > Reconcile accounts and choose the same account.
    2. Set the Statement date to a far future date, like 01/01/9999.
    3. Tick all transactions, then copy the calculated closing balance into the Statement/Closing balance so the out-of-balance is $0.00.
    4. Click Reconcile, then immediately Undo reconciliation.
    5. Set the Statement date back to 31/01/2026 and check if those two now appear.

    If they still don’t show after that reset, the best next step is to get in touch with support so we can jump into the file and check those specific journals with you.
