EFT error message when trying to do a pay run

I am getting the following message "looks like you're processing an ETP for ....." for a contractor I am trying to pay. I am not processing an ETP and can not work out why this is happening. I have checked the catagories in pay items and they are all at "to be assigned" so can't work this out. Help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Hi there Janis28,

The warning message you're seeing is due to a pay item being set to an ETP category. This can be fixed by following the steps below:

    • Note down each pay item listed under the employee name in the "Calculate pays" window.
    • Go to Payroll > Pay items.
    • Review the ATO Reporting Category again for each listed pay item.
    • Make sure that none of the pay items are set to ETP - Taxable component or ETP - Tax free component.

Any pay item that's set to an ETP, the system will think it's an ETP and prompt the warning message. If you still encounter issues, make sure to reach out to our support team directly. You can reach them on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, or by submitting a support case via MyAccount.

    Best regards,

    Doreen

    • Hi Doreen,

      Thank you for replying.

I had already checked this, however, I realised after your message that the issue was in one of the pay items under deductions and was able to fix this. Again thank you for your help. I have finally now managed to get a pay run done. Next issue is working out why I wasn't able to pay directly from Myob - I have linked the account however I need bank code and direct entry user ID and don't know where I find these.

        Hi Janis28,

I'm happy to hear that you sorted out the pay items under deductions and completed a pay run successfully. For Australian banks, the bank code is usually the BSB number, which is a 6-digit number. The direct entry user ID is a unique identifier given by your bank for handling direct debits and credits. To get these details, you'll need to check your bank statements or contact your bank directly.

        Cheers,

        Princess
