It's quite unusual that you're encountering this issue. I recommend unticking the employees who do not need to be paid and ticking only the employees that need to receive payment.
To record an unscheduled pay run in MYOB Business (New Zealand), go to the "Create" menu and select "Pay run." Choose "Unscheduled" as the pay cycle, select the employee(s), and enter the relevant hours or amounts against the correct pay items. You can also visit the help page for more information.
