Surcharge on Credit Card Payments

Hi

 

I have ticked for customer to pay the $0.25 surcharge when paying with Credit Card and it has worked fine, up till today.  I just had our customer pay like he does every week, and the $0.25c surcharge is on my account.  I checked my settings and it is definitely ticked for customer to pay,  and no, before I am asked, it was not a B/Pay.  I understand you can't pass on B/Pay, but this was Credit Card like he always does

    Hi Earl

    We don't charge GST.  This customer has been doing these payments every week for quite a while now and this is the first time the surcharge was put on our charge, not his

    Hi Helen_Keegan,

    Can you check if the invoice is set as tax inclusive? If so, the tax on the surcharge will be deposited on top of the amount invoiced to the customer. This means that the total amount deposited into the bank will be the invoice amount plus the GST on the surcharge. For example, if the invoice amount is $100 and there is a surcharge with GST, the total deposited amount will be $100 plus the surcharge amount including GST. This ensures that the GST on the surcharge is accounted for in the total deposit.
