Accepted with errors - ATO error code: CMN.ATO.PAYEVNTEMP.000271

We have completed our EOFY Finalisation.  Had the warning accepted with errors

Payee Commencement Date must be after 1/1/1950 or the default of 1/1/1800 (ATO error code: CMN.ATO.PAYEVNTEMP.000271)

Payee Commencement Date must be provided(ATO error code: CMN.ATO.PAYEVNTEMP.000280)

As the report was accepted did not try to fix.  employee has advised that their Income Statment is not listed as tax ready - is this the reason.  If so, how do I fix it as the card file has the correct start date so not sure where to go to fix this error.

Thanks

    Hi MillsResources,

These codes usually mean the Payee Commencement Date is either missing or showing as a default like 1/1/1800, which the ATO doesn't accept. Even if the card file shows the correct start date, it may not have pushed through correctly. Here's what you can try:

    1. Open the employee's card.
    2. Go to the Payroll Details tab.
    3. Click on Employment Details.
    4. Check the Start Date - if it's already correct, try deleting it, re-entering it, then saving.

Once done, you can undo and re-finalise the EOFY finalisation for that employee.

Also, just to double-check, has the finalisation indicator been ticked for that employee? If it's not marked as final, their income statement won't show up as "Tax Ready" on their end even if everything else looks okay.

If you still need a hand, best to reach out to our live chat support through our virtual assistant, MOCA, or submit a case via MyAccount.

    Regards,

    Sai

    Hi Sai,

Thanks for this information.  Yes the finalisation indicator was ticked, so not sure why the employee could not see the income statement in their MyGov account as being tax ready.  I have followed your instructions and it is still showing as accepted with errors, with the same error message.  Thanks for your help I will reach out to the live chat support now.
