Hi Genreve
We have run two 'payroll liabilities by category' reports, one for category 'Tax' and the other 'Superannuation' for the periods affected. We then compared the amounts on these reports with the Payroll Journal for each pay run which all equal. However when we compare the total amount of PAYG from the Tax report with the totals from the Super report (including salary sacrifice where relevant) the totals don't match. I can't understand the discrepancy. Any suggestions as to where the error could be from (is it the reporting period).

Hey PGAJC,
PAYG in the Tax report shows the tax withheld from your employees’ wages that gets sent to the ATO, while the Super report shows the super contributions paid into your employees’ super funds, including Super Guarantee, salary sacrifice and any extra employer contributions. These two figures cover completely different obligations, so they won’t match each other. It's best to reach out to our team on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, or by submitting a support case via My Account if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Doreen
