Receive an error message on generating super

Hi,

When I generate this month's super, I received the following message:

"One or more super funds selected is inactive and can't accept payments.

I have received similar message before and there usually an exclamation mark along the transaction which has issue.  This time I can't see any exclamation mark along any of the transactions.  How would I be able to spot which one has got issue.

    Hey jennielo1,

You're right— reviewing each super fund individually would be time-consuming with a large number of employees. Instead of checking each one manually, a more practical approach would be to process super payments in smaller batches. This way, you can narrow down which batch contains the inactive super fund and pinpoint the issue more efficiently. If this doesn't resolve you issue with super, make sure to contact our support team directly on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, or by submitting a support case via MyAccount.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

    Hi jennielo1,

Since there's no exclamation mark to highlight the inactive fund, you can check by:

    • Reviewing each employee's super fund details.
    • Using the ATO Super Fund Lookup tool to confirm the fund's status.
    • Ensure the ABN, USI, and the fund name are up to date.
    • Contacting the super fund if anything seems unclear.

You can also check this link for more info when updating a super fund.

    Cheers,

    Doreen

      Hi Doreen,

I think your method is not practical as we have more than 200 employees and 100 superfund.  It will take a lot of time to review each superfund.   I have browsed through the recently added superfund on the Lookup tool and they are all ok and accept contributions.  Is there any other more practical method that I would know which is the one that has issue?
