Long Service Leave Payment - While Still Working

I need help with getting set up for a weekly employee payment of LSL to be paid out while still working. This employee has requested their weekly pay be inclusive of LSL hours to help reduce the LSL as this is a liability for the company. There is a mutual agreement between the employer and employee for this to be deducted. We are based in WA and need to make sure that this is all set up according to both federal and state laws.

For example: the employee works a 40 hour week with 9 hours O/T on average. At the moment, they can only meet 6.5 hours O/T and would like the extra 2.5 hours of LSL to make up the 9.
I need to deduct these 2.5 hours and also not allow the 2.5 hours to accrue AL, SL or LSL each week.

    Hi AdminHydco

Absolutely, you can use any overtime hours to knock down the LSL hours someone’s built up. All you need to do in the software is set up a new wage category and hook it up to the long service leave entitlement. Once that’s done, when you run a pay with the new LSL wage category, it’ll reduce the LSL hours for that employee. Also, it's a good idea to make sure that the newly created wage is exempt from accruing hours for the entitlements.

Check out the Long Service Leave article if you need more information.

    Thank you Genreve!

Is there any chance you're able to help me get this all set up in the system?
