Thanks for the clarification. I checked with Micheal. The MYOB file is not uploaded anywhere, just selected so it can be accessed from your computer. Javascript is used to read the sections of the file that contain the licence details (serial number, File ID, number of users, odbc registration etc). This is saved to a file with a .bin extension to your computer. Only when you email that to FGH do they receive any details about your file. FYI it doesn't need to be your 'live' file. You can use a copy of the file or a restored backup etc.
FYI as alternative to the bin file, you can instead send screenshots of the Setup > Company Information screen as well as the Help About screen. This will provide serial number, File ID, number of users, but not odbc registration. The only way to confirm ODBC registration (if you use it) is via the bin file. Your licence includes ODBC registration if you use other software developed for MYOB to access (read and or write) to your company file. Add-ons such as Ostendo, Datapel use ODBC.
