Can't confirm company files

It's the "Select your MYOB® company file (No changes will be made to your file)" part under Step 1.
We never store our company file (or physical backups) anywhere except locally under lock & key. I'm going to be in trouble for even visiting FGH from the Accounts computer. So, needing to select our data for "upload" is VERBOTEN TIMES 10!
Anyway, I don't know what's happening in the backgound behind that "Choose File" button, javascript or otherwise, but I just know it'll absolutely freak out the security guys.

I reckon the chances of a security breach via FGH Tables is far lower than from MYOB. If you trawl through my posts on this forum you'll see a nice long lot of posts about data breaches caused when sending out invoices from MYOB. (I'm still waiting to hear from their technical department about how they've resolved the issue.) Same thing happened to lots of people with payment summaries a few years ago - they sent them to random other people and included TFNs, addresses, etc etc.
I have no faith in MYOB anymore. Dealing with FGH Tables was easy and very quick. That was $12 well spent, I reckon.

Thanks for the clarification. I checked with Micheal. The MYOB file is not uploaded anywhere, just selected so it can be accessed from your computer. Javascript is used to read the sections of the file that contain the licence details (serial number, File ID, number of users, odbc registration etc). This is saved to a file with a .bin extension to your computer. Only when you email that to FGH do they receive any details about your file. FYI it doesn't need to be your 'live' file. You can use a copy of the file or a restored backup etc.
FYI as alternative to the bin file, you can instead send screenshots of the Setup > Company Information screen as well as the Help About screen. This will provide serial number, File ID, number of users, but not odbc registration. The only way to confirm ODBC registration (if you use it) is via the bin file. Your licence includes ODBC registration if you use other software developed for MYOB to access (read and or write) to your company file. Add-ons such as Ostendo, Datapel use ODBC.

Ahhh. Very interesting. I'm still glad I spent $12 to get my file confirmed.
Also very interesting that I still haven't had a reply from either of the two moderators working yesterday who pointedly refused to answer my questions posted publicly and privately.
Later today I'll be lodging a tip-off to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner about MYOB's breach of data security when it comes to sending invoices. I advised them of the problem in June 2022 but they were aware of it at least since January 2022. I'm still waiting for a non-platidunous response. I notice that problem is still occurring, most recently a month ago.
I expect there'll be a massive data breach sometime soon and MYOB will pretend it's not a problem.

I've been searching the old records for @Suja_P and all of the correspondence on here regarding honouring the per[etual licences has been deleted. I'm not sure if anyone kept screenshots or records of this but I'm glad we have a backup plan.
