App issues

This is still happening and to add further to it, I processed payment on an invoice and it froze as well.   It’s completely unworkable now and I’ve reached a new level of frustration.   

It was worth trying, and thanks for letting us know.

I have completed the app update and unfortunately the same issues are occurring.   Everytime I enter an expense it freezes and the only way to overcome it is to force close the app 

Completely understand this is frustrating, and it's only aggravated by the time of year.

The app update (8.0.1) with possible bug fixes has just been released to the app stores earlier today. Please update it to the latest version when you can and report back if it fixes things or not.

On our side, we're not convinced this new update will fix the freezing issue, so we're still chipping away at it and I've tagged your comments and app logs to their investigation. Davids1978​

unfortunately there is still no update for me and the app keeps freezing after entering an expense.   It’s actually to the point that it is unworkable and essentially not fit for purpose, which is incredibly frustrating at this time of year.  

I can’t find More >> chat to us.   Am I looking in the app or on the community?

I'm really sorry this has been so frustrating. I completely understand how much extra time this is adding, especially when you're trying to get your expenses sorted at tax time.

We released a hotfix to the app stores yesterday to address this issue. App store updates don't always become available on every device straight away, so I was just wondering if you could check whether the update is showing for you today.

I haven't seen the update yet, but it is still happening and is incredibly frustrating, it's taking so much time for me to enter expenses, when it really shouldn't be this difficult 

I'm start to think that Solo isn't really going to be the best thing for me moving forward.   Am I able to request a refund for my yearly subscription, or transfer it to a yearly subscription for MYOB Business Lite?   I'm starting to realise the real limitations of being only an app based program.   It makes it very difficult for me to find line items and break down costs, etc I lease two motor vehicles but it bundles everything into one expense category.

Our team is investigating this right now, and these details are super valuable in helping us reproduce it on our side. I don't have much detail on how the investigation is going, but I am keeping an eye on it and will update you as we go.

And, possibly incidentally, a Solo app update with some bug fixes should be available to install later today. The bug fixes don't directly address this issue, but there's an outside chance it reduces the instances of freezing. Once you install the update (version 8.0.1), can we ask that you repeat the steps that caused the app to freeze and let us know if the issue is still present?

There is no error message appearing, the app just freezes and the only solution is a force close 

Hey Jared thanks for commenting.    So I went back today to find out what happened.   After reading I thought perhaps it was just when I was taking or using a photo, but I tried and entered an expense without a photo and once I hit saved, it would go to the Home Screen and then freeze, unable to do anything other than force close.  

this does not happen when entering income
