Imported Bank Feed won't let me delete it

We recently changed bank accounts, and when we received the initial feed the first week's transactions weren't present, so I imported the transactions.

These missing transactions have since appeared, so I have unallocated these transactions (both the entry and the duplicate entry since I'm not sure which one is the bank feed and which ones are the imported entries), deleted the attachments, unreconciled the month - and I now cannot delete the imported file.  I get the message:

Something went wrong. Please try again or refresh the browser.

I have:
  • cleared the cache, more than once
  • cleared the cache then restarted my laptop before reopening MYOB
  • tried using chrome instead of firefox
  • waited a week and tried again
  • prayed to the accounting gods for guidance and received only silence

Calling the help desk is a non trivial event so I'd rather not have to go through that again.  I foolishly didn't keep them on the line when I called about the duplicates when they suggested deleting the import, and of course this is still my issue.

Any other ideas please?

    Hi Daer

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Community Forum.

I understand how important account reconciliation is for the file. Generally, we recommend users avoid uploading QIF files for accounts that already have bank feeds, as this could produce potential errors. In my understanding, you have already unmatched and deleted the transaction attached to both the bank feeds and QIF files. Also, you have already undone the reconciliation for the period that those transactions are included in.

I will send you a private message to collect more information regarding this issue.

In the meantime, feel free to post again in the forum if you need any other assistance.

    Cheers,
    Genreve

Unfortunately this is still a problem, and I haven't heard back since the initial raising of a case number - can someone please look into this?

I have added the case number to this in case that helps expedite matters. Thank you.

        Hi Daer

Sorry for the delayed response and thank you for your patience.

We followed up on the issue with a specialist. We can't find any corruption in the file. May I get you to make sure to unallocated or unmatched all transaction that are included in the QIF file? This is likely the reason for the failed deletion.

We look forward to your update.

        Regards,
        Earl
