Online Payments & BPAY

If you are setting up Online payments is there a way you can exclude BPAY so you don't incur the fees?

 

My client would like to accept payment via Amex etc. but is not happy about the 1.8% fee if customers starrt to use BPAY.

    Thank you for your post.

     

    Once you activate the Online Invoice Payments (OIP) option, BPAY will be included as one of the payment methods available to your customers. Currently, excluding BPAY from the available payment methods is not an option. However, I want to assure you that we've already raised this request with the appropriate team for further consideration. I've also ensured that your post is added to the raised ticket for documentation purposes.

      Not sure how this is "Marked as Solution" when it doesn't resolve the issue.

       

      Is there any indication at least that this is something they are going to look at? and then if they are going to look at, will this be something they update within the next 6-12 months?

        I found a post about the same thing that's 2 years old.

      I have the same problem. This question was raised at least 2 years ago and the same response. You should by now have an answer so we know whether this feature will be update or not. 

      I can set up an account with my bank and pay a flat 25 cents per Bpay payment rather than the 1.8% you charge. We should be able to use our own Bpay account, or allow other electronic payments we choose.

        We’ve taken your feedback onboard. We are working to improve online invoice payments and provide greater control when it comes to selecting your preferred payment options. 

         

        While we are trialling this feature, if you would like the ability to remove BPAY as a payment option, please raise a support ticket via My Account.

         

        Once we receive your ticket, we can provide you with the ability to deselect BPAY.

      Thank you Princess.

      Hopefully we can get this changed. 1.8% is quite an impact for some smaller businesses.

      My client has chosen not to offer OIP as an option because of this fee.

        Your client's decision to opt out of offering OIP as a payment option is understandable given the circumstances. Hoping a significant number of requests could potentially prompt the team to take action more promptly.
