Payroll Advice Report - Remove Emergency Contact

Hi KIPG - I've had a further discussion with mailto:[email protected] - I had quite a lengthy discussion trying to point out that this issue is a compliance issue under the Privacy Act - they just kept referring to it as a "product enhancement".  The last correspondence I received indicated my Case was supposed to be picked up by the Customer Resolutions Team back in April 2026 - I've heard nothing further.  In that final response they also indicated the issue has been raised to the development team to be considered as an enhancement - despite my many indications it is a compliance issue, not an enhancement.  I'm not holding my breath for a solution.

WOW, 2 years later and we still have the same problem, can we please have the option to remove the notes/memo section that is required on the employee card details but not required on Payroll Advise Report (need to be sent to 3rd party). Employee onboarding has been setup to record the Emergency Contact Details into the Notes section of an Employee Card Details TAB, the programmer should also check what damage this does elsewhere in the setup of reports. Please get onto a solution MYOB.

When running a report that spans a long period of time, each pay processed is an individual transaction.  A report covering a full financial year would mean deleting the next of kin information 52 separate times throughout the report.  Then re-saving the report as a pdf to enable sending it.

Quite a cumbersome solution to an issue that shouldn't be there in the first place.

I suggest this issue should be addressed in your next software update as it is a breach of privacy legislation.  Or at least make an effort to customise the report to meet the needs of your customers.

I understand that you're looking for ways to customize the report generated by the software. Unfortunately, the software does not currently offer an option to customize the report directly. However, you could export the report to Excel, where you have the flexibility to modify the data as needed, including the removal of the emergency contact.

This is a serious matter and needs to be reviewed 

No solution yet Lea-Anne.  No response received yet to my message from 2 weeks ago.

Has there been a solution to this issue.

As mentioned by the OP that if the Payroll Advice Report needs to be sent to 3rd parties such as WorkCover QLD it should not include Emergency Contact details. 

What can be done to  customise this report

I am unsure what you are asking with regard to checking if I can find the person to contact in case of emergency.  As previously advised, their details are in the Card Details Tab in the notes section.  So yes, I can find them if needed.  The issue is that they are on the Payroll Advice Report.

I find it strange that you would request a screen shot of a Payroll Advice Report on a Public Forum.  I have run a report and redacted all confidential information.  You will see on the attached document that the Emergency Contact Details are included (outlined in purple).

Thanks for your detailed response and my apologies for the late reply. Can you please open an employee's card file, and check if you can find the person to contact in case of emergency? And also, could you please reply with a screenshot of Payroll Advice report?
