Profit & Loss Reports to have Report Option to Exclude InActive Accounts
Currently the Profit & Loss, and potentially other reports that require Accounts, always include InActive Accounts, but have the ability to exclude any Accounts with a Zero Balance. If you change the report option to Not include Accounts with Zero Balance, then you can exclude InActive accounts, but it also excludes All Active accounts with a Zero Balance. The requirement is that I need is to only exclude InActive Accounts but still include Accounts with a Zero Balance, so another Report Option to Exclude InActive Accounts. Having migrated to BusinessLite from AccountRight, we are now unable to use our previous sales invoice template or properly edit the BusinessLite sales invoice template to fit with our letterhead and company details. To be honest, it looks pretty bad. We’d prefer to revert to a scenario where we can edit out (where necessary) and re size boxes to suit our needs. We use the In Tray copiously and match transactions to payments wherever possible. Usually this is to transactions that have come in from the bank. Bank transactions view Ideas: I'd love to see an indicator beside a bank line where there's a suggested match from the In Tray. This suggested match could be based on the date and value extracted from the file. Similar to old Essentials. If certainty is 98%+ I'd like those attachments to be attached without user input. Clicking the suggestion icon could immediately link the attachment to this transaction. Bank lines with attachments have an icon already. Clicking this icon could open a modal preview of the attachment, its OCR details, and a button to immediately "un-link" the attachment(s). Effectively as an un-do for the one-click or automated attachment methods noted above. Areas that could be improved: The "View" link opens a new window with a download prompt. A modal preview or new tab to web-view rather than download would be much faster for us. The In Tray picker is sorted by file upload date, probably the least useful option. It'd be more helpful to sort it with suggested matches at the top, highlighted, then the rest by effective date with those dates that are relevant to the transaction above others. The In Tray picker is a radio button but it needs to be a checkbox allowing multiple selections. When an attachment is linked to a bank line, it can only be downloaded or unlinked. A View option in a modal or new window would be preferable. In Tray view: If suggested matches are re-implemented, the apparently matching bank line(showing date, value, and a truncated description; when clicked show full details in a tooltip) could be added under the relevant file row, with a button to immediately Attach the item and remove it from the In Tray view. Hi MYOB Team, I was delighted about the announcment of the new In Tray feature offered by Essentials - an extremely sensible and practical solution to storing invoices against a transaction. However, I was disappointed when I learned that you can only do this for "Bills".I think many people would be pleased if this functionality could be expanded to include all transaction types. Hello In the new MYOB you cannot print multipule invoices, this is very frustrating. When using the old platform you could select the invoices and then hit print. Now you have to select an invoice and down load that invoice and then print the pdf, this is a very long process and needs to be rectified. I have a 63.4 cm monitor; you would think I could see all the information. This problem has been going on for years, and plenty of people have asked for this to be fixed. We put in a request for upgrades again and again and nothing happens. Do MYOB really have people working on fixing the many problems with the software, or do we get the standard message of it being put on the list, that no one looks at? The online MYOB has become so time-consuming to operate. MYOB put subscriptions up without improving the everyday task to make the system easier to use. Please MYOB, include an option to have gst included in the job reports (particularly job activity report). I am the treasurer of a NFP and to get the information I have to export the job activity report, make a note of the account headings, then export a general ledger selecting these accounts with the job name added. I then have to filter out all unrelated transactions in Excel and cross reference to make sure I have an accurate record. I have a client who has many Sales invoices of the same value and a lot of his customers pay their invoice online so all these payments sit in Undeposited funds. Hi we have just had the 1st of 4 files migrated to the new version of Essentials. We have been eagerly awaiting all the new featuresthat would make life easier but we are disappointed to see some of the good points about the old version have gone. The notes section of the employee file has a reduced character limit so much so that the notes on one employee file that were imported from the old version have had to be cut & pasted to a word document as they were too large for the field & tech support are unable to tell me how charaters can go in the field The payslip (& whole payroll process) was much simpler in the old version. We as MYOB partners process payroll for our clients, and some of our clients are used to getting payslip copies for each employee for every payrun. This option was available in the old essentials version, but after the new essentials version came out, the multiple emailing of payslips option has been removed. Currently only employees are getting the payslips. Please could this option be reinstated, as this helps clients in perusing the payslips without having to log into the MYOB dashboard. Further when the payslips are in their inbox, they can refer to all payslips for a particular employee if they need to consider it. My business transitioned to the new MYOB Essentials a few days ago (January 2023) and I have run my first pay run, it has been quite the journey! This idea would significantly increase efficiency and save me much needed time as this now takes a lot longer to do! When doing a pay run, every time I edit a wage pay item (e.g. entering the number of weekday, weekend hours they work) it recalculates and causes me to wait several seconds before I can enter the next value. I have 4 wage pay items for each employee (week day, Saturday, Sunday, public holiday), multiply this by 50 employees and this means a LOT of extra wasted time. Hi there, I recently experienced an issue where my payroll was entered correctly, but the payroll officer made erroneous take home bank transfers to the staff. As soon as she realised her mistake, she made a second transaction to those staff members that were underpaid to ensure that they received the correct take home amount. So, everything is correct - it's just that some staff were paid for one pay week in two transactions. Unfortunately, the MYOB live Accounts does not allow you to allocate multiple bank transfers to the one payroll transaction. I thought there must be a way, so I went onto online support to see if they could help. As it turns out there is no way and the recommendation was to redo 2 payrolls to precisely match the two net amounts remitted. I believe that this is a very poor solution. The integrity of the payroll records should be maintained. The payroll record is absolutely correct. It records the hours worked, gross, tax, super and take home pay. It's just that the take home pay was paid in 2 transactions. I should not have to fabricate 2 payroll runs to match the two bank transfers. I strongly believe that the accounting software should allow the allocation of multiple bank transfers to the one payroll transaction. The software already allows for employees to receive pay "split" into seperate amounts within the Employee Pay setup section - but this is not the same scenario. Additionally, some staff were overpaid. In order to adjust for this, the payroll officer paid a lesser amount (by the amount of the overpayment from the previous week) in the following weeks pay to those overpaid staff members. In this event, we have 2 payroll runs and two payments. The individual transactions for the two weeks do not match, but they do reconcile precisely to the right payment having been remitted. I think basically what needs to be able to happen is that any payment should be able to be allocated to any outstanding payroll transactions (or part there of). Our customers don't use Purchase orders so we have no purpose having the field displayed. Additionally the Customers column is so narrow you can't read the name of the customer. So if you are going down a list of invoices for a period of time matching up to our manifest, we can't read enough of the name, so we have to open every invoice to see who it is for, which is a complete waste of time since if the column was able to be wider we would be able to just read the name. Widening the entire screen would also be great but even just being able to adjust the columns would be a massive improvement. I found this below post back from March 2021. Has it been reselved yet? Can we generate a Pay Now link from an Order (even if we had to log in to MYOB online, instead of from our Accountright where we do everything)? This would be a good workaround for now, to the fact that the Pay Now button cannot be sent via email if emailing an order or quote, only once the job is converted to an invoice. We are currently not able to accept MYOB payments for quote or order deposits/payments, meaning we need to have various methods of payment instead of keeping in the one system. MYOB you are also losing out on your fees this way. Surely, this is common practice for companies to have quotes in their system, that then are converted to orders once they are given the go ahead, and the ORDER is in production, then they are converted to invoices once the order is complete and the goods are being dispatched. We cannot change to invoices just to be able to send a payment button in email, or we will have heaps of jobs sitting as invoices (closed off jobs), and not open orders, we wouldn't know what jobs are still in progress, and don't think we should have to bring in another program to monitor this, we use MYOB the way we thought it was meant to be utulitised to it's full capacity (even using the MYOB Create PO button would not work to create all the purchase orders in Suppliers for all the stock if it was an invoice, this only works as an Order). This is a massive design flaw, and needs to be sorted. I spoke on the phone with MYOB a couple of months ago and was told the Pay Now button simply won't appear on Orders or Quotes, it will need to be invoiced. This is not a solution. If more of us speak up, maybe they will push to solve this quicker. Why isn't the email field simple selectable and editable text? When I start typing a new email address in this field, if I click off the field it puts whatever text I have entered even if it is incomeplete into a non-selectable and non-editable format. This is quite annoying if I need to alt-tab to another window to refer to the email address mid typing. To change it I need to remove the text and start again. When I start typing a new email address in this field, if I backspace it out and press backspace one too many times an entire email address is deleted and this can be catastrophic as in many cases I need to search through months of emails to find the correct ones again. I need to add and edit the 'ship to' fields for customers when creating invoices without having to create a new customer each time. I have a customer card called 'Cash Sales' but then edit/add the customers details etc to the Ship To Field so that i don't have to create numerous customer cards for every customer that purchases from us.
