Superannation Payment Incorrect Amount

Hi, I was reconciling the superannuation account for May 2023 & I noticed an error where the payment had been processed before reversals of incorrect pays.

 

We have 6 employees, payrun for the 11/05/2023 is correct, but the payrun for the 25/05/2023 is incorrect (3) employees supers had been duplicated but the remaining (3) weren't paid. 

 

Can someone please advise what needs to happen to recify this issue. It's for a previous payroll year aswell 2022/2023.

    Thanks for posting, 

     

    I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties regarding the reversals of super payments. My understanding is that you currently have 3 reversals for this period that haven't been processed yet. What we could do in this case is to create the reversal of the incorrect values, regardless of when these reversals were recorded these will still negate the values of the incorrect super payments. If my understanding is incorrect, please send us screenshots that will point out the issue and we'll help further.     Unfortunately I no longer process the wages but in charge of the bookkeeping & found this error.

    Hi LPC1

     

    Thanks for the response and the screenshots sent. 

     

    Unfortunately, there is no way around this. We will need to reverse incorrect payments to correct the errors. Once all incorrect payments are reversed, we could then reconcile the accounts. I would suggest speaking with the one in charge of processing wages and reversing them to correct this.
