Log On Issues

I have previously set up a user (myself) as a backup for testing.  I have not used this user access for some years, so forgot my password.  I was able to generate a link for the password forgotten part but now fail at the 2FA page.  At the time I created this test user, there was no need for 2FA or that was not implemented yet, so I don't have that info. I also don't have recovery codes or the ones I previously downloaded are not 24 characters (mine are 8 only and I don't know if they are user or company specific).

I can still access the file via my prime access which also has 2FA, so I am not stranded but how can I reactivate that old test account? Before handing over the company file to new colleagues, I want to make sure everything works as it should.

    Hi tomoz,

Ensuring everything works perfectly before handing over to your new colleagues is indeed crucial. Since two-factor authentication (2FA) wasn't a thing when you set up your test user account, you'll need to set it up now. You can follow the steps in this link to get started. Once you’ve set up 2FA, you’ll be good to go and can ensure everything is in order for your new colleagues.

    Cheers,

    Princess

      Princess,

I would like to set this up just as I have done for the other account but how can I do that without being able to log on?  I need to be logged on to change my log in requirements for 2FA and choose my authenticator app, don't I?

I managed now with the help of online support to have 2FA authentication reset and then set it up now.
