We also have a similar problem. Payrun amounts in Payroll module are correct, however both the STP report in MYOB and the submission to the ATO have 0.00 balance. We have tried reversing the pay run, and redoing it - however again Pay run amounts in Payroll module are correct but the STP report in MYOB and the ATO submission still have 0.00 recorded. Can someone help with an explanation and a fix please?

Hi Doreen, I have done this over a week ago and still have not had a response, this is a very serious issue and should have a high priority.

Hi Simon, I have lodged a request over a week ago and have heard nothing, I consider this a very serious issue and would expect a response sooner than this. It seems I am not the only one with this issue.

Hi Lawncare500,
With how long your case has been sitting there without any movement, you’ve every reason to be chasing an update. I've flagged this directly with the team looking after your case and asked them to bump it up the queue. They're reviewing it now and you'll hear back as soon as they've finished their checks and confirmed the outcome.
Cheers,
Doreen

Hi Lawncare500,
Normally, once you record a pay run, it’ll just show up in STP, so that does sound a bit odd.
A couple of quick checks:
- First, ensure that the pay’s definitely there under Payroll > Pay runs, and that the Payroll activity and Payroll register reports appear correct.
- Then, jump into Single Touch Payroll reporting, set the year to 2024–25, widen the date range, and select 'Show all statuses', especially around the January 2025 pay.
If it still doesn’t show in the STP list, but the pay is in Payroll > Pay runs and your Payroll activity/Register reports match, the correct year‑to‑date amounts are still what’s being sent through to the ATO.

Hi Genreve, thank you for the reply, this issue was discovered by our Accountant when he compared the STP amounts with the amounts in MYOB report "Summary of Payments", there is a difference of approx 1K which exactly correlates with the pay run that has not been recorded in STP. Where to from here?

Hey Lawncare500,
Really appreciate you laying out what your Accountant found and how it ties back to that missing STP pay run. With the thousand dollar gap showing up between the STP figures and the Summary of Payments report, you can reach out to our team on Live Chat via our virtual assistant, MOCA, or by submitting a support case via My Account. This way, they can trace exactly where that difference is coming from and make sure everything lines up properly on your end.
Cheers,
Doreen

I have notice the same thing in my STP report. All the pays being reported are O.00 balance. Yet all allocations match. I also have random dates in the STP with 0.00 dates which I have not done. When I print out Report it gives me a year to date report of each employee. Something is not right and im at a loss how to fix it

Hi PS-NSW,
That certainly is a bit of a hassle if the correct values are not being shown in ATO. If the software reports are correct, it usually means the pay itself is fine, it’s just how STP is showing it:
- First, in Payroll > Payroll reports, run Payroll activity and Payroll register for the period and for the year. If those match and include the pay, the numbers are right.
- Then go to Payroll > Single Touch Payroll reporting, choose the correct pay year, and Either Send the update event (or run a $0 pay run for the affected staff) and lodge it. Wait for Accepted, then check STP/ATO again.
STP can show $0.00 if it went up as an update event (it only updates YTD), if a pay item is set to Not reportable/To be assigned, or if the pay was done before STP was turned on or under the wrong payroll year.
If you’ve tried that and it’s still not right, the best bet is to reach out to support by creating a ticket on the My Account window or connecting with live chat through MOCA, our virtual assistant.

MYOB Team <myobteam@myob.com>
I have lodged a query regarding an issue with STP reporting, as the current situation is not correct and may cause serious compliance problems.
While the payroll figures within MYOB appear to be correct and balanced internally, the STP reports are showing $0.00 and are not reporting the payroll amounts to the ATO. This means that although MYOB balances on our end, the reporting to the ATO is compromised.
This is a significant concern, as it affects our statutory reporting obligations. I have already attempted reversing and reprocessing a payroll, however the same issue has occurred.
This matter must be investigated urgently and advise on how this can be rectified?
I look forward to your prompt response?
