I've just been reviewing my LiveAccounts file in order to complete the BAS. As a junior completed it,a lotof the GST Tax codes were incorrectly put as GST when they should have been FRE. When trying to change these,I was not allowed to as a payment had been applied. In order to correct these transactions I would have to delete the payment, adjust the expense transaction and then re-enter the payment. This seems to make it a lot harder than it should be ESPECIALLY when the bank reconciliation has already been done. I understand that this may be to protect the file integrity however I'm suggesting that the GST code be allowed to change as this shouldn't affect the outcome of the transaction. Just the GST Reporting. I use another accounting program which also has a bill "Tray" for bills to be emailed directly. This program gives you a notification if you enter a bill that has the same bill number. You can click on a link to this other bill (already entered) to review the details & see if this is the exact same bill. This prevents accidently entering a bill multiple times by mistake. Hi There Re: MYOB Essentials I recently was engaged to set up several employees and process all pays from 1.7.19 to current date for STP purposes on a new MYOB Essentials data file. I was appalled to note that there is no box for a second christian name and only a limited number of 25 characters in the name box therfore I was unable to note an employees second christian name, I was only able to enter his first name with an initial for his second name. Has anyone discovered that MYOB Account Right can generate duplicate general journal numbers? MYOB Technical Staff think this can't happen, and have directed us to check that the "warn for duplicate cheque numbers" under Setup/Preferences/Banking ; and similarly for supplier invoice numbers (which were checked already). However, cheque numbers and supplier invoice numbers have nothing to do with the creation of general journals. When invoices are sent and delivered can the status in the invoice summary section show as sent. When invoices start piling up would be nice to see what invoices have been sent vs closed in the one screen without having to create a report. In the old essentials we used to be able to do a top/bottom view rather then side to side. I think you should have quotes available on mobile devices. I am an electrician and often do quotes at home then once on site and finishing the job you cant see what you have quoted a customer and cant charge accordingly. Hi There, The Liveaccounts program I would have though to be directed at the small business. In Australia majority of small business is in the service industry. Therefore, I would have thought that you would be able to invoice for service supply (with no item) and the an invoice template to mirror image this (no item column). Why Oh Why do automatic customer statements have to be emailed to ALL email contacts??? Hi MYOB, I have noticed that when you import an external report, such as a .PDF file into a report pack, this external report is displayed in the Table of Contents by it's file name. I would like to edit this for my clients as seeing something like ATL Sep2022 ABC PtyLtd.pdf in the ToC is meaningless to the client, even though it may be my shorthand nameing convention for the file. I would like to be able to edit the name that displayes in the ToC so it is more meaningful to the client.
