When accountants are working through a job in Client Accounting, we often collate a list of queries or source documents that are needed to complete the job at year end. This is typically then emailed to the client, then the client forwards to the bookkeeper to get the response / documents. We should be able to publish these "Year End Queries" directly from Client Accounting Workpapers into the MYOB Essentials File. It should appear as a banner when they log in, the same as what is used when MYOB make announcements that appear in the Essentials file when you log in. I think this would be abetter way to direct your queries as it goes to the bookkeeper / owner or whoever is responsible for the Essentials file directly and they see it everytime they log in. The could upload the required information directly into the Essentials file which would then feed back down into the Client Accounting workpapers tab in AO where the query began. Live accounts seems to be purely mouse controlled. It is very difficult (in fact, impossible) to use the keyboard when, for example, allocating bank transactions or recording data within spend/receive money and general journals. It would be infinitely easier to be able to TAB through the bank feeds, allocating account names and then TABing to the next line. The TAB key could skip between the 'Description' and then the 'Allocate or Match' and then the 'GST' fields. The same sort of function should be made available within the spend/receive money and general journal entries. It would be so much simpler to TAB through all the required fields, entering data as you go with the final TAB taking the user to 'Save' where upon the user can simply press the 'Enter' key. I appreciate that Essentials Payroll is a basic payroll, however it would be appreciated if some necessary adjustments could be made: * A casual employee doesn't have to have their 8% paid in every pay. They can receive the 8% when they finish up. There is currently nothing to change this and so we have to make them part-time which isn't right. * A part-time employee doesn't necessarily get a lieu day when they work on a stat day if that is not their normal working day. They get time and a half, but a lieu day isn't a given. As above if I put my casuals in as part-time, they don't get a lieu for working a stat, but the system gives them oneand there is no work around. * There is no legal requirement to show Annual Leave on payslips. More options here would be great. A nice to have: * We have one particular client that can't split their timeto different divisions and for that to come through into their different codes on the accounting side. For example they have one employee that does baking, then spend time on the retail side and they want to split her wages betweentwo different codes. Although I don't expect a lot of design flair from an accounting package, it would be a big improvement to allow font choice on invoice templates (system fonts (Verdana, Arial, Times etc) would be good; Google fonts even better). Invoice design is still part of an organisation's branding and being stuck with your standard font is rather limiting.
